Essentials of Tank Water Heaters
There are two basic types of tank style water heaters. There is the style most commonly seen in older homes called “Gas Storage” (gas because that is the fuel it uses, and storage because of the water storage tank). Today’s Gas Storage water heater is much more efficient and safer than earlier tank style water heaters.
The new choices in tank water heaters are “Condensing Water Heaters.” These also have a tank, but employ new technology.
Gas Storage Water Heaters

Consider a High-Efficiency Gas Storage if you currently have a gas storage water heater that needs to be replaced, and:
